Band-aid - Matsuoka Rin x Reader

Today was supposed to be like all the others. Same boring classes, same boring teachers, and the same, glorious boyfriend.

Matsuoka Rin.

As the last bell rang, you followed your routine. Went to your locker, and headed straight for the Samezuka Academy pool to watch Rin practice.

Little did you know that today was going to be just a bit out of routine.

When you arrived, your boyfriend had just gotten changed and left the locker room. He strided over to you, gave you a large embrace and that toothy smile, huskily whispering in your ear, “You up for dinner after practice?”

“Food is food, Rin.” Your eyes sparkled.

It was 3 PM.

Rin swam.

It was 4 PM.

Rin still swam. You checked Twitter.

It was 5 PM.

Rin was still swimming. You waved goodbye to Nitori and Momo who were leaving.

It was 6 PM.

Rin swam. Your stomach grumbled.

Then came 7 PM, when you could no longer deal with the ravenous desires that had overcome your body.

“RIIIIIIN,” you moaned (a/n: sorry that sounded sexual). The only response you received was in the form of splashes. “RIIIIIIIN. RIIIIIIIIIIN.” Nothing.

You waited at the poolside for him to stop. He touched the wall, peeked his head out of the water, shifted up his goggles and looked at you.

He scowled a bit. “What. I’m practicing.”

“You’ve been practicing for 4 hours and I’m hungry, dumbass. And don’t scowl at me.”

“I’ll scowl at whoever I want to scowl.”

“Are you sassing me?” You reached out and pulled the hair sticking out from his swim cap. Hard.

“Ow! Let go!” He pushed your hand away. “Just wait, okay (f/n)? I’m really into this practice session, so we might have skip dinner today.You could afford to lose a couple of pounds anyway.”

Making you wait for hours. Sass. Calling off plans that made you wait for all those hours. And now he called you fat? This guy. You got up from where you were sitting, kicking the chlorine water into his face.

“Woah, did I make you mad or something?” He wiped the water off his face.

“Can you shut up?” You eyeballed some goggles that someone left behind on the bench.

“Oh, (f/n), it’s that time of month again, isn’t it? You know what, I’ll buy you some Midol on the way home—”

That was it. You grabbed the goggles and just chucked it straight at Rin’s perfect and beautiful and gorgeous face. “Dickhead.”

“Well then . . . OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!”

You were on your way out, when you heard Rin crying out in pain.  You immediately turned around and headed towards him.

“What’s wrong?” You touched his face and he winced in pain.

“Y-you’re a really good shot, (f/n). My forehead hurts like hell, and,” he felt the place the goggles hit, “AND IT’S BLEEDING HOLY SHIT DO SOMETHING.”

You moved his hand and saw a tiny little incision.

“You’re kidding, right?” You asked in disbelief. This guy was the cocky one just now who made his girlfriend wait 4 hours for something he ended up cancelling. And he called her fat. And he blamed her bad mood on her period. And now he was like a child, not knowing what to do.

He gave you a blank stare in response, so you helped him out of the pool, and sat him on the bench.

From your bag, you took out the bandaids.

“Oops,” you uttered.
“What do you mean, ‘oops?’” he replied, apprehensively.

“I only brought the Hello Kitty and Disney princess bandaids.”

“I’m a man. I don’t use those.”

“That’s the only choice you have, Rin.”

“Can you kiss the boo boo first?”

You rolled your eyes. He looked so vulnerable and desperate for help. You leaned forward, kissed his forehead and he smiled.

Silence followed, until his voice reappeared:

“So can I have the one with Ariel on it?”
