White flecks of magical crystals fell from the sky and the air was consumed in a chill.
It was the day before winter vacation, and you stared outside the classroom window, admiring the way the snowflakes plastered themselves onto the window. You were about to reach out and attempt to touch thm through the glass, when—
“(L/n)-san, I asked you a question.” Oh god. Sensei caught me.
“Ha… Well you see, Sensei, I didn’t hear it.”
“And why is that?” Long story short, you were kicked out of the classroom for not paying attention. A minute after being outside, someone from the neighboring classroom joined me—Tachibana Makoto, the main bae (of course, you were loyal, you had no side bae).
“What the hell? Mako-chan? What are you doing out here?”
“Sensei kicked me out for paying too much attention to the snowflakes. You?”
“Same.”
He chuckled. “You really are the perfect match for me. Hey, are you free tonight? You should come over and hang.”
“Sounds good.” You went closer to him, about to kiss him on the cheek, and then the door slammed open.
“(L/n)-san. I sent you out here as a punishment, not for a date.”
“Sorry Sensei.”
Makoto and you walked home, huddling together for warmth amongst the snowy day.
Upon arrival, Makoto kindly offered, “Alright, (f/n)-chan, make yourself feel at home—”
You were too busy kicking off your shoes and immediately jumping onto his couch. One of Makoto’s sweaters was folded neatly on the couch. You put it on, indulging in theMAN SCENT delightful scent.
He sweatdropped. “(f/n)-chan! At least put on slippers when you come in,” he leaned over the couch, instructing.
“Sorry, mother ,” you shushed jokingly, leaning up and kissing the top of his nose. Bright red. Both of you.
“W-w-well I’m going to go make dinner.” After he cooked a delicious meal, the two of you sat on the couch, as Makoto got the Wii set up.
“How about Wii sports?” he suggested.
“Mako-chan. I don’t voluntarily exercise.”
“Come on! What about this one?” He raised up another exercise game disc. This one was yet another one that required physical movement and running.
“Ok, Makoto. Let me make this clear. I don’t voluntarily run, and if you ever do see me running, you should run to. Because something is coming,” you joked. You looked over the pile of games, and your eyes sparkled when you saw it—SUPER SMASH BROTHERS BRAWL (a/n: let’s be real here ssbb gets super intense and I would kill someone in order to win).
“(f/n), you like those types of games?”
“YEAH.”
“They’re my favorite too!”
A gust of wind blew through an open window. You shivered.
“Wait a second.” After about 15 minutes and a lot of preparation, you and Makoto were in a pillow fort, cuddling together in a blanket, you in a pair of his sweatpants.
“That was not a second,” you smirked.
“Please.” He laughed, and you two proceeded toGO HAM play the game.
Mid-game: “YOU’RE CHEATING!” said the brown-haired boy
“No, YOU’RE cheating!”
And with the most dead-serious face, he replied, “(f/n)-chan, I pinky swear that I am not cheating. BUT YOU ARE. HOW DID YOU BEAT ME.”
“Because you low key suck,” you said, then leaning in to kiss him. “You know what I suck at though?” You winked.
“(F/N)-CHAN THAT IS INAPPROPRIATE AND DIRTY. NO.”
You laughed, gasping for air, before assuring him that you were kidding. You guys put on a funny movie, but as we all know, even funny movies have some sad parts. And at those sad parts you were tearing up, and at this point, you had the tub of ice cream in your lap, and you were continually spooning it into your mouth.
Makoto laughed at you. “(f/n), you’re so weak,” and he put his arm around you.
The time was 10:02.
“Oh crap, (f/n), you should go home now, before you get snowed in.” You nodded in agreement, and when you opened the door to leave, you were in shock. The snow was up to your knees. “Well, I guess you have to stay here for tonight. Don’t worry, my parents are on a business trip right now.”
As you prepared for bed, you joined Makoto in his cozy bed, and you snuggled in close.
True love is like a snowflake. It’s different for everyone. It peaks interest. It brings people close together. No matter what, there is one thing that is the same about love.
It is always beautiful.
EXTENDED ENDING (don’t you guys love these):
In the middle of night, giggles could be heard throughout the room.
And Makoto shook restlessly beneath the covers.
And then he said,
“Stop tickling me.”

No Longer Alone (Reader x Tachibana Makoto)
The only noises that fills the empty room are the sounds of the clock ticking, the pitter patter of the rain outside, and the sound of your heartbeat thrumming steadily. You are laying on the floor, looking up at the ceiling. Now you may think this was a nice, peaceful scene, but inside of you, a battle is raging. The main piece of your life is now gone - for good.
Deep down, you want to wish that they'd bust through the door; but sadly that is only a dream now. It's been a month since you departed from your hometown, leaving behind your once happy life. And now you live here in Japan with your strict, hardworking grandparents.

Makoto x Reader - during the winter
Makoto looks up at the sky and watches the snow fall. He sticks his tongue out, a snowflake landing there to his surprise. He smiles as it melts in his mouth.
You, on the other hand, take a chunk of snow and ball it up. He has his back to you, not paying any attention. This gives you the perfect opportunity to throw that snowball at him. You laugh when it hits him square in the back.
He immediately whips around. "That's not very nice, you know. I'm going to get you!" Makoto taunts. You squeak and run away before he can catch you. But with his athletic swimming build, he runs faster than anybody you know, so he captures you in no time.

Graduation Makoto x Reader
"It's nearly time to graduate..." You remarked suddenly, causing the others in the swimming club to stop their activities. You twirled your green tie with your finger, seeing sadness in the second years' eyes.
"Have you decided what you are going to do after graduation? It's in a week's time." Nagisa wondered, placing another Iwatobi doll into a cardboard box.
Makoto smiled gently. "Well,I'm thinking of being a firefighter in the future."
"A cook would be suitable for you, Haruka." Rei suggested, Haruka keeping silent the entire time.
Taping the last cardboard box shut, you stretched your sore muscles. "It's up to you guys to find new mem
